An osprey also known as a fish hawk feed almost exclusively on LIVE FISH

HOW CAN YOU TELL FEMALE VS MALE? Unlike many birds, both sexes of osprey are similar in appearance. However, the female is larger, up to 20% bigger and a heftier bird. The females also often have more brown colouring on their chest than the males, a so-called ‘necklace’.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR EGGS TO HATCH? Osprey eggs normally hatch in the same order as they are laid. It takes about 37 days for the chicks to emerge.
