01.23.22 Check out this Large Pileated Woodpecker

It’s zero degrees out today but the bird feeders are busy. We purchased a new fancy EXPENSIVE “squirrel proof” bird feeder…we will keep you posted on results but it has a unique engineering method and is based on the weight of a squirrel on the feeder with springs and the feed holes will close up. The sun is shining beautiful out today and we had a beautiful full “wolf” moon on the 17th. It is the first full moon of the year and the name is relative to wolf packs howling hungarily outside. Lots of chickadees, blue jays, squirrels and about nine turkeys that appear and disappear. Embracing nature and looking forward to our daylight growing longer each day.
