We had three eggs and we had three baby osprey but as in the past, the third one is often smaller and doesn’t have the strength to get position for the mouth fish feed from the mother. We have seen this happen over the past few years. BUT..the remaining two babies are looking very healthy and getting SO BIG! It will be fun to watch the nest as they begin to learn to fly. It has been extremely warm for June but as you can see they have been hauling a lot of fish out of the lake (from across the road), they get their water from all the fish. Sixty days after hatching, young osprey make their first flight!
